Frequently Asked Questions about Editing Services
What is the difference between proofreading and editing?
Proofreading focuses on correcting surface-level errors such as typos, grammar, punctuation, and spelling mistakes, ensuring the text is error-free and polished. Editing, on the other hand, involves a deeper review of the content, addressing issues related to clarity, coherence, structure, style, and overall quality. Editors may rephrase sentences, improve flow, suggest structural changes, and enhance readability, aiming to refine and strengthen the message of the text. While proofreading ensures correctness, editing enhances the overall effectiveness and impact of the written piece.
